Profiles 8 D40 have a round cross-section of diameter 40 mm. The 4 grooves of Profile 8 D40 are arranged 90° apart. The grooves can be used for holding panel elements and attachments (as with rectangular profile cross-sections) as well as for fasteners. Profiles with a round cross-section are particularly suitable for constructing fixtures for holding materials ready for use, e.g. shelves and table structures, or for auxiliary fixtures such as signage and handrails.Profiles 8 D40 are available with both open and closed grooves. Profiles with closed grooves are ideal where aesthetic considerations are important. They are also particularly suitable for clean rooms due to their ease of cleaning and streamlined design.The profile grooves can be used to connect accessories designed for securing to grooves of Profile 8. The profiles may be connected to each other, to rectangular profiles of Line 8, or to other components using Adapter 8 D40.The covering over the closed groove can be removed easily for attaching accessories or for profile connections. Assembly is simplified since profiles with closed grooves and profiles with open grooves can be combined.The correct angle for the profile can be set easily using an angle bracket with an anti-torsion feature (e.g. Angle Bracket V 8 40 Zn), which is mounted on the end face of Profile 8 D40.
