Standard-Fastening Set 8 ESD, one-sided from item connects two Line 8 profiles at a right angle to create a connection that is highly resistant to displacement and torsion. The connecting plate is made of bright zinc-plated steel and projects into the groove on one side to ensure the alignment of the profiles is torsion-resistant. The other groove is left free. The special screw breaks through the insulating anodized surface covering to facilitate an ESD-safe contact between the profiles. A thread needs to be tapped into the core bore of the first profile to install the fastener. The second profile requires an installation bore and is connected in a fixed position. Please note the load-carrying capacity, which is different to that of Standard-Fastening Set 8.Thanks to the asymmetrical anti-torsion feature on Standard-Fastening Set 8, one-sided, one groove is left free. This means profile frames can be built with one groove that is completely free to accommodate panel elements. The modified connecting plate also allows for profiles to be offset so they can be connected in such a way that they have a flush fit when finished with caps.Compared to other fasteners, Standard Fasteners protrude into the groove to a minimal extent only. Standard-Fastening Set 8 features a double-sided anti-torsion feature as standard, but is also available in variants that have either a connecting plate that is shortened on one side or a compact centring aid (K). The variants leave one or both grooves of the aluminium profiles free. Standard-Fastening Sets 8 are also available in an ESD-safe design to help dissipate electrostatic charges.
